No End In Sight
If you visited the wee website in the past few days, you’ll see I posted about a great new Irish Rovers song! If you click that link, you can view the video, and it’s a fine performance by the lads. George is on top of his game along with the others. Big Ian (no, not that “Big Ian,” but Ian Millar – son of Joe) shows off his great vocal talent!
Well, did you know that this latest song is from a brand new album? It’s called “No End In Sight” and has a terrific arrangement of great songs. The album is named for the first song – a brilliant introduction to the rest of the songs you’ll be hearing when you have a listen to the entire thing.
Listening to it brings back old memories of course – ah, the Purple Onion (in San Francisco) days, the Decca times, and then finally telling Decca to get lost and forming our own label, with George producing. After Decca, we had a lot more control over how we wanted our music recorded. But then later, some of the “suits” wanted us to change our name, but you can’t take the Irish out of The Irish!
Enough of my me rambling here – I want to get out and do some actual roving and rambling but excited for you all to hear “No End In Sight” – you’ve got 15 greyet songs that make up for over an hour of listening pleasure that will have your toes tapping if you’re not up and dancing a wee bit.
It’s not yet available on CD but you can pre-order apparently.
In the meantime, Spotify has the whole album – get over there, and turn your volume up! You know, some songs are meant to be played quietly, but I know most of ye like to turn the volume up!
